Shirt - Sammydress * Skirt - Boohoo Belt - H&M Shoes - Zara Bag - Zara Sunglasses - Westward Leaning
Well this weather just keeps getting better and better in the UK! I thought it was time to get the skirts out this weekend, and I chose this leather look pleated skirt to wear with my new Sammydress blouse.
As we all know by now, pleats are BIG for SS14, and this top is perfect as I think its a little bit quirky. I love the cream/apricot colour of this blouse, along with the contrast of the green and the blue on the pleated front section. The pleats on the front are actually so flattering and I was really pleasantly surprised how nice this blouse looked on. It is a little tight fitting around the shoulders, but I do have pretty broad shoulders; a constant battle in my life to find a top that doesn't pull under the armpits. Apart from that, the top is so cute and Sammydress' prices are ridiculously reasonable, so you can't complain!
This Boohoo skirt is my new favourite skirt and it's midi, box-pleat style is bang on trend too. So many pleats today! But sometimes, I like to think, more is more. This is also an amazingly good price at £20, and the leather looks rather real, not cheap and nasty. I decided to break up the two pleats with a contrasting gold belt, and my trusty H&M sectioned metal belt was perfect for this. This belt just goes with everything, it's going down in history as one of my best buys. I would probably throw some sandals or brogues on with this outfit for a more day-to-day casual look.
What do you guys think of this outfit? Do you like the pleat trend?
