Merry in my Mules

Dress - Marks and Spencer  Jacket - Zara  Bag - Zara  Shoes - Zara  Rings - ChloBo and Pandora  Sunglasses - Westward Leaning

I don't know about you, but when Victoria Beckham unveiled THAT tent dress from her SS14 collection last September, I was instantly in love. It most definitely isn't the prettiest or elegant of dresses, but there was something about the purple, diamond quilted drop hem dress that really caught my eye. I have always lovede the drop hem dress, so flattering and they really elongate your body and compliment your hips.

When I saw this gorgeous M&S number last month, it instantly reminded me of the VB tent dress. That lilac quilting, the drop hem (albeit not quite so dramatic as VB's billowy style) and the shiny material; I was in love. I didn't get it on the day, and I am ever so happy I didn't, as when I popped in last weekend, there it was. In the sale. For £19!! I grabbed it and ran. Ok, slight exaggeration, but I was pretty damn happy.

You may also notice that yes, I have those coveted mules on. I have to say, at first I just wasn't convinced. They reminded me of something mums wore in the 90's. Something that made your feet look fat and your toes scarily spread. However, after seeing them on a few of my favorite bloggers, I thought that there must be some sort of secret that I just wasn't in on, so I ordered a pair. You know, just to see... And I was instantly sold. There was no ugly toe spreading, no slipping off, no un-comfortableness as I had imagined. They are immensely comfortable and my feet stay firmly located inside the shoe. That said, I am dubious on whether they can withstand a night out, walking up and down stairs after a few too many vodka, lime and lemonades. This will be tested tonight.

What do you guys think of mules?
