Scarves and Stripes

Capes seem to be cropping up everywhere this season. Whether they are shawl-like or fastened, you will see them in almost every store as of late. And if you don't fancy braving the full on cape yet, you can find alternatives. Like this gorgeous Topshop blanket scarf. I love the mixture of colours and the white contrasting border, and if you don't fancy draping it across your shoulders, it can also be worn as an oversized scarf.  I think this is an amazing buy due to its versatility. This particular one is actually sold out online now, but keep your eyes peeled for it in store!

I decided to keep the rest of my outfit simple and a bit monochrome, to let the colours of the scarf really pop. I picked this casual ribbed Zara grey dress that I got in the sale earlier this year as I felt something simple would compliment the greys and maroon colours of the scarf. I decided to pair this outfit with my new Zara boots, to add more of an edge to the otherwise minimal look. These gorgeous pony fur boots look far more Jimmy Choo than Zara, and I love the chic-ness and shine of the pony fur. Mixed with that killer stiletto heel, they are the perfect black boot.
