Day to Night with Jailbird Jeans

Skinny jeans have taken over the world. I remember the days before skinny jeans were THE jean, when I was rocking the bootcut flare and trainers in my school days. The days when it was cool to have your flares dragging along the floor so the hems became all frayed and dirty, because that was hip. Or, if you were like me and went through an 'alternative' stage, you had a nice little Avril Levigne-esque chain having from the hip of your Tammy girl punk rock flares.

Flares may be coming back with full force this season, and whilst I do love a good 70's flare, skinny jeans will always be the ones for me. Whether they're blue denim, black, grey, acid wash, they are the most reliable thing in a girls wardrobe. And they aren't just for daytime casuals either, they are perfect popped on with a pair of heel for a night out. So when I was asked by upcoming brand, Jailbird Jeans, to come up with a day to night look, I jumped at the chance. As an avid 'skinnies' fan, I  know how well they can work from day to night. So, here is my daytime look.

I chose the Lexie classic girlfriend jean, an ankle grazing length in a classic blue denim. Blue jeans will honestly go with any outfit, and I loved the distressed look on these. I thought I would keep the outfit pretty casual and cosy, but adding a splash of colour and sassy-ness with my burgundy Topshop Control over the knee boots, a sale snap up from a few weeks ago. So here is my daytime look, my nighttime look will follow shortly.
